「柿畑にかける屋根」

岐阜県揖斐郡大野町で計画した住宅。富有柿の産地として有名なこの地域。その柿畑の一部を計画地にされたいとオファーをいただいた。建物は天井高が高く開放的な空間を希望されたため、７本の太い柱のようなBOXの上に大屋根を乗せたような構造とし、プライバシーを必要とする空間は柱の中、すき間の空間はLDK空間として大きくガラス面を確保した構成とした。開放感を得ながらも外部からは柿の木によってプライバシーは保たれ、内部は落ち着いた空間を確保している。柿の季節による変化に応じて様々な風景を生じながら、あたかも柿に守られ、柿畑に屋根をかけたような豊かな住空間になったのではないかと考ている。

“A Roof Over the Persimmon Orchard”

A residence planned in Ono Town, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture. This region is renowned as a production area for Fuyu persimmons. We received an offer to incorporate part of a persimmon orchard into the planned site. The clients desired a building with high ceilings and an open, airy space. Therefore, the structure was designed with a large roof resting atop seven thick, column-like boxes. Spaces requiring privacy were placed within the columns, while the open spaces between them formed the LDK area, featuring large glass surfaces. While achieving an open feel, privacy is maintained from the outside by the persimmon trees, ensuring a calm interior space. We envisioned a rich living space where, responding to the seasonal changes of the persimmons, diverse views emerge, as if protected by the persimmons and as if a roof were placed over the persimmon orchard itself.
